Competition terms and conditions
Please read these competition rules carefully. If you entered the ASG Giro 2011 / “Best of Italy” competition, we will assume that you have read these rules and that you agree to them.
- This prize draw is organised and promoted by ASG Sport Solutions (Pty) Ltd (“ASG”), Registered office: 116b Glen Avenue, Willow Glen, Pretoria.
- To enter the competition you must be a) a South African resident; and b) 18 years old or over at the time of entry.
- By entering the prize draw, you are deemed to have read and accepted these terms and conditions. All entry instructions form part of these terms and conditions.
- The prizes are:
- Flight tickets to Italy (including airport taxes) for 2 persons in economy class.
- Hotel accommodation for 7 nights in Italy on a bed and breakfast basis and for one room on a sharing basis.
- A flight in a helicopter (subject to favourable weather conditions) to view a part of a stage of the 2011 GIRO D’Italia race from the air.
- Viewing a stage / part of a stage from an official team or support vehicle.
- A visit to the Pinarello and / or SIDI factories.
- A test ride of a Pinarello DOGMA in Italy.
- The winner will be responsible for any additional costs incurred in taking advantage of their prize (eg. relevant VISAS, etc.). Prize is not redeemable for cash.
- This Competition is not open to employees (or members of their immediate families) of the ASG Group or any of ASG Sport Solutions’ official dealers.
- For each ASG product (Rudy Project, SIDI, Pinarello, etc.) purchase of R1,000 (including VAT) or more from any of our authorised and official dealers (bicycle stores, optometrists or other sport stores) across the country you will be allowed one entry into the competition. One entry per invoice. Original invoices must be kept and will be verified when winners are announced. The winner must be able to produce this invoice to claim his/her prize.
- More entries can be obtained for additional qualifying purchases in excess of R1,000 (incl VAT).
- If the winner of the competition is drawn and there are noted irregularities with the email addresses supplied in their entry (i.e. the email address does not exist, is not delivered to a person, etc.), invoices supplied, etc. the winner may be disqualified and a new winner can be drawn.
- Only purchases between 20 June 2010 and 31 January 2011 will qualify for the draw. Any entries received after the closing date will be invalid. ASG accepts no responsibility for any errors of any other kind which may restrict or delay the sending or receipt of an entry, or for delayed or lost entries.
- All entries must be submitted online at www.asgsport.co.za (relevant competition page) – no fax, telephone or mail entries will be accepted. Information must be completed on the relevant competition page and the minimum information requested must be submitted. Inaccurate information submitted may result in disqualification of an entry.
- Once you have submitted your entry you will receive an on-screen notification that your entry has been accepted – print out this screen or write down the reference number for safe keeping.
- The winner will be drawn randomly in the first week of February 2011 by a representative from the independent audit firm KPMG. The draw will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- ASG reserves the right to amend the competition dates at any time.
- The winner will be notified by e-mail / telephone. The judges’ decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The Winner will be announced on our web site and in Bicycling Magazine.
- Prizes are not transferable and can not be converted to cash.
- Some components of the prize (eg. helicopter ride) may be dependant on weather conditions and other factors outside the control of ASG – unfortunately no responsibility can be taken for this.
- ASG reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. If we do this we will publish the amended competition rules and/or specific competition rules on the relevant competition page.
- Under no circumstances will ASG (or its parent, subsidiaries and affiliated companies) be liable for any losses, damages, costs or expenses arising from or in any way connected with any errors, defects, interruptions, malfunctions or delays in the promotion of the prize.
- The terms and conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa.
